Event Details:RING IN THE NEW YEAR by celebrating the fourth annual “Watermelon Drop” held in downtown Vincennes! Spectators will gather at the Riverfront Pavilion on Second & Busseron Streets to watch the 18-foot, 500-pound watermelon rise in the sky and drop twelve Knox County watermelons at the stroke of midnight to mark the year 2013. Fireworks will simultaneously mark the event. Beginning at 9:00pm (ET) spectators will gather to enjoy music, karaoke, toys and glow sticks, food, hot chocolate, noisemakers and a beer/wine garden.
